To all our fellow collector friends:

It's been a long wait but we have finally sifted through the many submissions - to all those who have submitted, we thank you for your passion and contribution!
Before we go into the entries, here are a couple of disclaimers and instructions on how to vote for your favorite concepts:
In this page below, we will display all the Entries, the identity of the submitters will be kept anonymous so we will simply name the Entries by Entry numbers. E.g. Entry 1, Entry 2 etc. Some files are huge so please be patient as it may take awhile to load.

We will be creating a Poll featuring all entries on http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=156920. You can vote for your favorite designs - we are excited to see what you folks like as well!

If you have submitted but do not see your submissions here, it means either you've gone past the deadline, or that our judges have decided that your submissions are unsuitable, requires too much rework or simply difficult to get past official approvals. Our decicisions are final (so please do not email us asking for reasons) nevertheless we still thank you for your efforts!

Our Judges will review the polls and REVEAL their CHOSEN design for each of the characters in the FIRST WEEK of NOVEMBER 2016. The Winners will be announced on our website, Facebook and statueforum. Remember, the final decision lies with our Judges as they need to factor in practicality, stability and packing production costs so they may not necessarily go with the most voted. XM Studios also reserves to right to amend and tweak the designs so the final produced Statue may still differ from the winning design.

Der Körperbau von #1 ist irgendwie eigenartig.

Mir sagt eher die#3 zu.

Entry #1: Da der Hulk alleine dargestellt wird, ist ohne das Hintergrundwissen des Herstellers nicht im Ansatz zu erahnen, das hier die Verwandlung des Dr. Bruce Banners in den Hulk stattfindet. So sieht es schlicht nur nach einem anatomisch deformierten Hulk aus.

Entry #2: Dr. Banner gefällt mir für sich gesehen sehr gut, auch der Hulk weiß zu gefallen. Nur die Darstellung kann auch hier schnell missverstanden werden. Sieht für mich auf den ersten Blick so aus als ob der Hulk wütet und irgendein Kittelträger irgendwo neben ihm vor Angst auf die Knie geht.

Entry #3: Gefällt mir vom Ansatz um Lichtjahre besser als die ersten beiden Vorschläge. Alleine aufgrund der Positionierung sind interessante Aufstellvariationen möglich. Entweder seitlich, was ja fast ein Unikum ist und auch zur außergewöhnlichen Umsetzung dieser Statue(n) nochmalig beiträgt, oder eben jeweilig von Vorne mit einem im Hintergrund angebrachten Spiegel. Welches sich dann ebenso, wenn auch erst auf dem zweiten Blick von allen anderen Statuen absetzen würde.

Entry #4: Für mich der mit Abstand klare Sieger, was die Thematik betrifft. Erst diese dritte Statue, den Hybriden, stellt für mich die perfekte Verwandlung dar. Hier ist ohne jeden Zweifel auch für Laien sofort zu erkennen was diese Statue bezwecken soll. Diese Ausgabe läuft Bild für Bild wie in einem Comic ab, es gäbe für mich bei dieser Auswahl keine Alternative. Über den Hulk lässt sich hier streiten, aber so wie ich XM einschätze sollte es daran nicht scheitern. Hier wäre mir ein schreiender wesentlich lieber, dann wäre es perfekt.

Von der Thematik her ganz klar Entry #4 aber kaufen würde ich mir diese nicht.
Entry #3 jedoch würde ich kaufen.

Bin gespannt wer das rennen macht.

"It was a close fight between Entry #2 and #4 but the community (and our judges) have voted Entry #2 by Miguel Angel as the winner for XM 2017 Hulk Transformation Contest! We would like to also take this chance to explain our approval process.

As stated in our official Homepage, apart from Creativity, we also factor in Engineering, Licensee Approval and Production Feasibility. Creativity is important but execution is just as, if not more important. This is why we didn’t ask for line art this year – we asked for 3D sculpts.

Our position is creativity isn’t everything (and creativity is subjective btw). Some of the entries that didn’t make finalists actually have more creative ideas than the finalists. However they lost points due to gaps in practicality, composition, details, and overall sculpt quality. It is important to distinguish concept from execution.

We have never claimed that all entries will be revealed for voting. In fact on our official page, it is clearly stated only finalists decided by XM will be posted on Statueforum. In addition, the final decision remains with XM and not entirely based on Votes. Even if we let all entries in, the results would not have changed – the entries that didn’t make finalists then, still wouldn’t have won for the same reasons they didn’t make finalists in our books. There is nothing unfair or at foul play here.

As with any contests, there are always different sides. Everyone is entitled to like what they like. We don’t ask that everyone agree with our decision but we ask that everyone respect all the participants, respect our entitlement as owners of the contest to decide what is best for our products, be a good sport, be gracious and stay classy.
