It's no lie, we have a LOT of properties we're tackling, and all those properties have their own core lines, and other sub-lines as well, it's freaking nuts how much ground there is to cover.

We have designs for tons of stuff, it's nuts, I want them all to be statues right meow and in collectors hands tomorrow, but unfortunately there's only so many pounds of statues you can squeeze into a year.

To drop some hints, there are a few new Batman rogues coming out - specifically, a BIG one is almost ready for mold and cast, and a few others are int he works but will be paced out. But there are a couple of other DC villains that are about ready to be revealed, a truly amazing one in particular will debut during 12 days, so keep a look-out for that.

There's no shortage on the DC front. And yah, we've done a lot of Batmans, about half as many Supermans or anything else super popular in DC, but we have the Sinestros and Lobos to balance everything out.

We're here to run a marathon, not burnt out on a 100-yard dash.

Im love what Prime 1 is doing, we have an awesome relationship with them, and Im dying to get a few of their pieces myself.
Spannend!

"Glad most have enjoyed the 12 days so far. I mentioned it in another thread (or earlier in this one, I forget) but we are at a different place now where we wont "tease" or announce anything unless it's 8-12 months out (or sooner) from solicitation, and they are all usually at least in sculpt if not further along, like Catwoman Pfeiffer.

As for the plethora of females, it's not by design, it's just the coincidence of where we were with a lot of current projects. We do have more males planned in 2016 (more than females) just at this point, again, it's a coincidence that most are female.

As for Marvel, we have to get a certain number of pieces shipped in 2016, so we had to push a few up faster at the end of 2015 / beginning of 2016 for solicitation, so that's where that influx is coming from. We still have PLENTY of pieces from all our other licenses coming up soon.

Glad to hear more often than not that this is the best "12 Days" yet, I truly think so, and each year will only get better from here."

"Right now it's two, two-team companion "sets" (sold separately, but go together) and a villain. If all goes well, we'll add another member or two to the team probably. It's been hard to commit so many pieces in one year to just this team, so many other things to get done, but Im pretty happy with where this is going, and again, if it sells well, more will come.

Thanks for the kind words man. Been busy, that's why Ive been absent."

Kind of, not with this though. The villain we have planned is going to be more of a stand-alone statement, done in a unique way that's a homage / throw back to something we did before, that we're all pretty excited for, but it's going to be BIGGG… Hopeful SDCC reveal, we'll see how it all works out.

The bases for these first 4 pieces (not including Captain Marvel) are all themed together, and proximate to each other, so kind of like a dio."

Ohhh bitte bitte lasst es Thanos sein Beg

"I would add that there is a difference between detailed and complex. Alex has explained that certain pieces cost more because of their detail. I think what she meant was their complexity. We are in a golden age for collectibles. Many statues are very "detailed" these days. But some of those pieces are also extremely complicated to produce for various reasons. Think of it this way: the Sistine Chapel ceiling could be sculpted in its entirety in relief on a sphere and it would be very detailed, but not very complex -- a sphere is only one piece.

In the case of Red, she and her base are composed of something like 50 different parts (multiple hair pieces, armor pieces, gloves, boots, legs, head, arms, weapons -- heck, the base was like 30 pieces itself). This allows for a much more lifelike sculpture because it permits many more undercuts, and slender parts (like the snake fangs and ribs) and parts that look like they are separate -- because they ARE separate. It also helps to improve production paint because it is easier to paint something if it is broken down into more parts. But all that complexity, while it makes a much better statue for the collector, has to sculpted, molded, cast and assembled...which is time consuming and costly.

Cheers!

Recht interessant. Finds gut, dass SSC langsam mal ein paar Hintergrundinfos preis gibt.
