Sideshow is proud to present the first exciting collectible in the new Thundercats collection, the Mumm-Ra Statue.

Mumm-Ra stands 22” tall atop a Black Pyramid themed base, surrounded by effigies of the Ancient Spirits of Evil, who he is bound to serve. A purple pool of magic boils beneath his feet while the portraits of a crocodile, a boar, a vulture, and an ox imbue him with terrifying power.

Transformed into his Ever-Living state, the menacing Mumm-Ra has a portrait inspired by his animated appearance, with red eyes and jagged teeth. The Mumm-Ra Statue has a polystone blue body, sculpted with lifelike texture to capture his immense strength. He has sculpted armor elements, including his bandage wraps, golden gauntlets, and snake-themed belt and chains.

Mumm-Ra’s snake helmet has wired red and black tendrils of fabric on a tailored headdress. The statue also includes a fabric skirt and a red and black fabric cape, detailed with weathering to reflect the decay of the dangerous villain. The scalloped cape includes internal wiring for custom posing options.

~ EXCLUSIVE ~
The Exclusive edition of the Mumm-Ra Statue includes a swap-out right hand clutching the Sword of Plun-Darr, his malevolent double-bladed weapon. Holding the sword, the statue measures 24” tall, prepared to destroy the Thundercats with his terrible might.

Gefällt mir, auch wenn die Serie in meiner Jugend spurlos an mir vorbei gegangen ist. Aber wie schon bei MotU eine gelungene moderne Umsetzung.

Kann mich nur noch an das Symbol und an den Hauptprotagonisten erinnern. Hab die Serie auch nie angesehen. Das Design dieses Bösewichts weiß zu gefallen, auch die Base mit dem Schlangengürtel und den verschiedenen Tierköpfen sind nur ein Highlight von vielen. Da gibt es einiges zu entdecken. Nicht mein Sammelgebiet, das Overall Konzept und Art Design sind aber Klasse.

Ohne Schwert richtig klasse.
Schade, das sein Kontrahent dagegen so abstinkt..

Thundercats Fan‘s dürften nach Jahren des Wartens in kürzester Zeit alle Gefühlsregungen durchgegangen sein. Nach dem Auftakt mit dem megabombastischen Bösewicht waren die Erwartungen bestimmt hoch angesetzt für den Titelhelden. Leider kann Lion-O nicht ansatzweise mit o.g. Mumm-Ra mithalten. Noch schlimmer, er sieht bestenfalls Medicore aus und wird höchst wahrscheinlich die ganze Serie zu Fall bringen. Wirklich Schade, ich schau mir gerne Statuen aus den 80‘iger Serien an.

Mumm-Ra ist einfach ein Brett. Lion-O war schon immer langweilig, Cheetara ist ja nun auch angekündigt. Tygra und Pantro waren aber immer meine Favoriten.

Einziehen wird bei mir aber wohl nichts von all dem. So schön die Sachen auch sind, mir ist das inzwischen einfach zu teuer. Genau wie bei den MotU-Statuen. Wobei ich mir Skeletor und Mumm-Ra schon schön zusammen vorstellen könnte ^^
