Zitat:Hi Wētā Collectors,
We’ve noticed a few comments of late about the quality of a selection of our Collectibles.
As most of the world has now lifted travel restrictions, we are pleased to say we have recently resumed our pre-pandemic quality control (QC) measures as we can now, once again, travel to our manufacturer to inspect our Collectibles in person. One of our team has just left to QC “The Dead Marches” Collectible. This is such a relief as it has been an immense challenge for us over the past two years and caused us a lot of concern.
Prior to the global pandemic, one of our team would fly regularly to our manufacturer in China to QC. This became impossible during global lockdowns and New Zealand’s stringent controls. Over time, it was apparent the pandemic was not going away, and we adapted our QC process. We sourced an independent China-based QC Specialist to do this, while we couldn’t. We also increased our QC resource to ensure multiple checks at various points in the process.
Unfortunately, this was not as watertight as we hoped - however, we are confident that these processes did detect most of the issues.
The reality is that there will always be variances and issues in the manufacturing process which we are dedicated to resolving as they arise. It’s important that these issues are raised with us, as the team prides itself on ensuring all our work is of the highest quality possible. To further support this commitment to quality and to you, our much-appreciated collectors, we also now have more resource in our Customer Service team to be available to service your enquiries.
We want to reassure you that we are as committed as ever to creating premium quality Collectibles as we always have been and are very thankful that our ability to QC our product is returning to pre-2020 levels.
Thank you for your continued support and patience while we continue to overcome and adapt to meet the challenges of making Collectibles in a post-pandemic world.
With appreciation and respect.
Richard & Tania
